PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION - Take lightrail (LINK) from downtown Seattle toward Seatac airport, get off at the Columbia City station and walk three blocks east on Edmunds Street towards Rainier Avenue South. Take a right on Rainier avenue, and go two blocks south. We are on the southeast corner of South Hudson and Rainier Ave.
Another good alternative from downtown Seattle is the bus number seven. Bus number nine will take you to Columbia City down from Capitol Hill. Please consult the King County Metro maps and timetables for bus no. 7 from downtown Seattle and bus no. 9 from Capitol Hill
DRIVING DIRECTIONS - The Royal Room is 5-10 minutes from a number of exits on I-5. Please, consult Google Directions for the best way from your current location.
While the Royal Room has no dedicated parking lot, there is street parking available, especially south of S. Hudson street. There are two parking lots, which charge as little as $1, within a 3 minute walk of the venue. One is on the southwest corner of Rainier and S. Hudson. The other is located on S. Ferdinand, half a block east of Rainier.
Centerpiece Jazz Band is an all-volunteer resident ensemble of Music Center of the Northwest, whose mission is presenting high quality and entertaining performances for the purpose of championing Music Center of the Northwest.
Centerpiece is a big-band type jazz ensemble made up of Music Center faculty, community members, and professional-level volunteer musicians from around the Seattle area. Centerpiece performs a variety of music, from traditional swing and dance music to upbeat modern rock and funk music.
