Music Together® Summer

It's time to make Music Together®! A class for mixed ages, our Music Together® classes introduce children to basic musical concepts through songs, rhythm, rhymes, movement, and instrument play. The classes are relaxed and informal.
Enrolled families will have access to:
45-min, weekly classes inside for nine weeks.
Families will receive a Music Together® songbook as well as a CD music download code, access to coloring pages and musical games via the "Music Together" app.
Materials will be distributed the first day of class.
Tuition is $85 for 4 weeks of classes and includes the current term's songbook and music download code.
Siblings can join for just $70! (materials not included for sibling enrollment, one set of materials per family). Please call the office at 206-526-8443 to complete sibling registrations.

From babyhood through the early elementary years, Music Together® nurtures each child’s natural musicality in a playful, musically rich learning environment. Our research-based music classes are designed to be non-formal and non-performance oriented, so your child can learn at his or her own pace, in a way that’s developmentally appropriate.

Rhythm Kids® by Music Together®

Rhythm Kids® by Music Together® is the next musical step for your preschool child (ages 4-6) with a parent or caregiver. Each week we drum, sing, dance, play rhythm instruments, and begin to play music-based games. Rhythm Kids® guides children toward developmentally appropriate music and movement activities, where they can begin to take charge, lead others, and be musically creative. They will make up their own drumming patterns, invent new ways to play rhythm instruments (shakers, sticks, etc.) and create movement ideas for songs. They'll even take a drum solo! Caregiver participation is required.

Families will receive a Rhythm Kids® by Music Together® songbook as well as a CD, a music download code, access to coloring pages and musical games via the “Music Together” app.

This babies class is designed to teach parents how to promote their child's musical development through appropriate singing and movement. Parents will learn to recognize their baby's response to music and how to develop music as a basic life skill.In this Babies Class the music activities and materials are specially designed for parents who want to learn as much as possible about music development in infants, meet other parents of newborns, and learn fascinating music activities that you can recreate at home with your baby. Babies are naturally musical - and you don't have to be a great singer or dancer yourself to nurture their love of music. Join us and see how wonderful connecting through the power of music will be for you and your baby.
This class functions as a special one-term introduction to Music Together®.
Tuition is $265 for 9 weeks of classes.

An Internationally Recognized Music Program
Music Together® is an internationally recognized music program for children from birth through age 8 - and the grownups who love them. Parents, primary caregivers, early childhood professionals—everyone is involved in the educational process. First offered to the public in 1987, we've always been pioneers in the field of early childhood music with truly innovative, high-quality music education and outreach programs that redefine what musical means. We're research and evidence-based, so we know our stuff and we're good at what we do. But we're also down to earth, accessible, and all about having a good time. It's a balance that makes us both serious and fun. What can we say? We're serious about having fun!
The Details
What is the cost?
The cost depends on the class and term, in general classes are $245 for 9 week in person classes ($180 for siblings to join!) The summer session usually runs for 4 weeks.
When do classes start?
Classes are held each quarter, beginning in September, January, April, and July. Check the website or call us at (206) 526 - 8443 for accurate start dates and available class times.
Are there scholarships available?
Yes! Music Center believes that music education should be accessible to everyone, regardless of financial means. We offer a variety of tuition discounts and scholarships to make our programs more affordable. If you need tuition assistance to participate, please read Tuition & Scholarships for more information. Tuition Assistance awards are for either one class/ensemble or for 30-minute lessons.
What if my student needs to miss a class?
No credits or refunds will be given for student absences. In the case of an absence, please let your teacher know and ask about make-up opportunities.
What if we need to stop attending class entirely?
Students who withdraw from a class or ensemble, one week or more before the first class, will receive a full refund, before the second class, 50%. No refunds will be given after the second meeting. Students withdrawing from workshops by the registration deadline will receive a full refund. No refunds will be made after the registration deadline, and all refunds are subject to a $15 drop fee. If a class is canceled by Music Center, students will receive a full refund.
