Chas Arnold
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
ContactChas Arnold joined Music Center in 2018. As Executive Director, Chas successfully led the organization’s Keys to the Future capital campaign to purchase and renovate the school’s building, creating a permanent home for Music Center. He has strengthened the balance sheet, diversified programming, funding sources, and championed partnerships, both locally and nationally.
Raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Chas began his professional career working for the Education Department at Carnegie Hall. He moved to Bermuda in 2001 where he served as a teacher, coordinator, director, board member and chair.
An accomplished violinist, Chas received his BA from The Colorado College. He enjoys all types of music and sits on the CAB Board for Classical KING FM. Chas lives in Seattle with his wife Jennifer and two children.

Janice Gockel
DIRECTOR EMERITUS
ContactJanice founded Music Center in March of 1989 and served as Executive Director of Music Center for thirteen years. Janice also works with the Greenwood-Phinney Chamber of Commerce, and performs with Philharmonia Northwest, and other organizations. In what remaining spare time she has, Janice is also an award winning baker, which is to great benefit of the faculty and staff.

Nicole Reimer
OFFICE MANAGER
ContactNicole Reimer has enjoyed working at Music Center of the Northwest since May of 2017. Originally from Spokane, WA, Nicole graduated from Whitworth University with a Bachelor's of Arts in cello performance where she also worked as the University Orchestra Librarian and in the Music Department office. Now the Office Manager, she supports all aspects of programming at Music Center. In her free time, Nicole enjoys performing chamber music with Music Center faculty and playing board games with friends.

Seanna Sweeney
COMMUNITY RELATIONS MANAGER
ContactSeanna graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and then moved to England to pursue a Master’s in Marketing at Royal Holloway, University of London in which she studied marketing theory related to popular music. Joining the Music Center in the fall of 2020, Seanna has previously worked in positions in education, events, hospitality, and art. In her spare time, Seanna enjoys reading, spending time at the beach, writing, and creating the perfect playlist for each month of the year.

Darian Clogston
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
ContactDarian grew up north of Seattle in Mukilteo, WA and found a passion for supporting the performing arts in high school. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Stage and Production Management from Emerson College. Darian's previous work includes stage management and front of house for theatre and other live performance. She sings with the Seattle Labor Chorus and is co-chair of their Coordinating Committee. In her free time Darian enjoys yoga, biking, rock climbing, reading, and watching a few too many reality tv shows.

Monica Allen
MUSIC TOGETHER® DIRECTOR
ContactMonica Allen is a South Carolina native graduating from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Music Education. With a focus in music education, Monica has been teaching master classes and private lessons for several years. She has also taught Elementary, Middle, and High School music programs earning several awards for ensemble work. As well as teaching marching bands and concert bands, Monica has been working with early childhood music programs and teaching private clarinet lessons. Monica teaches Music Together® classes several times a week for babies through toddlers and the Big Kids classes for 5 to 7 year old students. Monica has recently begun teaching through the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program and has her students recognized at the highest level of achievement through the method.

Kate Schnieder
MUSIC THERAPIST MT-BC, MUSIC THERAPY COORDINATOR
ContactOriginally from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Kate has spent the past seven years practicing music therapy in a pediatric therapy clinic in Boise Idaho. During that time she gained valuable perspectives working alongside occupational, physical and speech therapists, this experience has deepened her understanding of what it means to practice within a child-led and neurodiversity-affirmative approach. She is focused on creating a therapeutic space where everyone can feel supported to explore, create and connect within music.
Kate received her Bachelor’s of Music in Music Therapy from Baldwin Wallace University and has been a board certified music therapist since 2013.

Mariah Fraser
MUSIC TOGETHER® ASSISTANT DIRECTOR &
SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
ContactMariah is a Washington native with a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Western Washington University. She brings her love of music and early childhood education to her roles as a Music Together®, Rhythm Kids®, and ukulele teacher.
In addition to her work at Music Center, Mariah teaches early childhood music classes in several preschools across Seattle, helping young children connect with music through movement, rhythm, and play. Her love of teaching is rooted in the belief that music is for everyone.
Outside the classroom, Mariah enjoys playing the ukulele, reading, and spending time with her family.
