Continuing Education - Clock Hours
Music Center of the Northwest is a Washington State approved clock hour provider. Please keep in mind that clock hours may not be issued retroactively, participants must register prior to the start of the term. Music Center will send out participant surveys once per year to receive feedback on the offered programs.
If you have questions about continuing education clock hours as an educator, you may contact the OSPI office. The OSPI certification office handles inquiries on clock hour provider forms and processes, as well as educator certification processes. Concert Band
Literature & Technique
Details: Members of this class will rehearse and perform with the Around the Sound Concert Band. Participants will take part in discussions regarding repertoire for the group and will have the opportunity to select and conduct a piece for rehearsal and performance. Participants will earn 15 clock hours. Tuition covers the cost of class registration and clock hours.

String Orchestra

Days & Time: Tuesdays @ 6:30 - 7:45pm
Clock Hours Provided: 13.75 Hours
Tuition: Free with registration to Oak Lake Strings - Fall Term
Details: Members of this class will rehearse and perform with the Oak Lake Strings and participate in Orchestra Reading and Technique Study sessions. Participants will earn 13.75 clock hours. Tuition covers the cost of class registration and clock hours.

Dates: May 4th, 11th, 18th, June 1st, 8th & 15th, 2026
Days & Time: Mondays @ 10:00 - 11:00am
Clock Hours Provided: 6 Hours
Tuition: Free with registration to Exploring Chamber Music - Term 5
Details: Members of this class will rehearse and perform with the Exploring Chamber Music ensemble and participate in Ensemble Reading and Technique Study sessions. Participants will earn 6 clock hours. Tuition covers the cost of class registration and clock hours.
